General Program Information

Meetings of the Morton Branch are held on the second Tuesday of each month, September through May.  Dinner meetings will begin at 6:30 pm.  Other meetings will begin at 7:00 pm with dessert served after the program or business meeting.  Meetings are held at the Community United Church of Christ, 300 N. Main St.

September 9, 2025 6:30 PM We will enjoy a salad supper and a zoom interview with our 2025 Laura Fuoss Scholarship recipient, Quincy Beaty.
October 14, 2025 7:00 PM AAUW branch member Jill Greenwood-Williamson will discuss The Dignity Index and help us explore the question, “Do you treat others with dignity?”
November 11, 2025 6:30 PM We will celebrate the 50th anniversary of the founding of our AAUW-Morton IL branch.
December 9, 2025 6:30 PM Our Christmas Celebration will include a presentation from Mr. Larry Holt of Pathway Ministries, Morton Community House
January 13, 2026 6:30 PM After we enjoy our annual soup supper, branch member Alissa Williams will lead a team building activity including a game of Jeopardy.
February 10, 2026 7:00 PM Branch member Judy Triggs will lead a discussion on an international topic, more details to come.
March 10, 2026 7:00 PM Ken Olson, member of the AAUW State Board, will discuss grass roots feminism in higher education.
April 14, 2026 7:00 PM We will discuss our all-branch read, She Burned Brightly, written by our very own Susan Scott.  Susan will lead the conversation.
May 12, 2026 7:00 PM John Ackerman, Tazewell County Clerk, will give a presentation about The Underground Railroad.  **Please note that this meeting will be help at the Morton Public Library.**
